WHAT:
This symposium is a day to meet with other manufacturers, educators, and workforce development professionals to discuss how to recruit more women into the manufacturing skilled trades.
This will be the beginning of a regional conversation to determine how we can improve the recruitment of women into these careers. We will have speakers and panelists to discuss best practices.
WHO should attend:
1) Bay Area manufacturers (HR or technical hiring managers or those who create company strategy for outreach and hiring)
2) Educators in the community colleges & K-12 who develop programs, recruit students, or work with students to give advice on careers
3) Workforce development professionals working with clients to find new careers
